Hovander Park Partial Re-Opening

Hovander Park Partial Re-Opening
0Comments

Effective immediately, Whatcom County Parks & Recreation is re-opening the Boat launch parking lot, the Nooksack River Trail, and the dog off-leash areas at Hovander Homestead Park. Trail subgrade and top surfacing has been repaired and the boat launch parking lot has been graded making these areas serviceable. While the restroom building remains closed for repair with the rest of the park areas not listed here, a portable restroom and hand wash station has been placed at the boat launch parking lot for public sanitation.

Flood damage cleanup and repair efforts remain underway and we appreciate the public’s continued patience as we work to restore and reopen this beloved park. Full opening of the park is anticipated by mid-May.
