Northwest Indian College enrolls 535 undergrads

At Northwest Indian College, 66 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 66 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Bellingham enrolled 535 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 2.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

74 percent of undergraduates are residents of Washington, and 25 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native (84 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).
