88 percent of applicants to Western Washington University were admitted for fall 2018

At Western Washington University, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Bellingham enrolled 16,121 students in fall 2018, including 15,170 in undergraduate and 951 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Washington, and 15 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (70 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (9 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 11,124 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 32 percent enrolled.
