Whatcom County ranked 18th in Washington for resident earnings in 2018

Whatcom County ranked 18th among counties in Washington by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Whatcom County residents was $27,396 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 85,008 households with a population of 216,812.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was King County with $42,772 per year after adjusting for inflation – $15,376 more than Whatcom County. It had 865,627 households with a population of 2,163,257.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Whitman County with $17,153 per year after adjusting for inflation – $10,243 less than Whatcom County. It had 17,910 households with a population of 48,593.
