Western Washington University recently issued the following announcement on March 11.
Western is excited to join the Bicycle Friendly University family! The League of American Bicyclists has awarded Western silver-level status for our efforts to make it easier and safer for students, faculty, and staff to choose to get around by bike. Continued improvements to bicycle infrastructure and programs on campus and in the City of Bellingham have made cycling safer and more accessible for everyone.
