New Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cyber Range Launch at the Anvil Bellingham

Whatcom Community College and Anvil Corporation held a ribbon cutting to launch new Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cyber range launch at the Anvil Bellingham location.  This partnership expands cybersecurity educational resources for both colleges and industry across the State of Washington. 

Dr. Kathi Hiyane-Brown, WCC President was joined by Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood;  Alicia Rule, Washington State Representative; Simon Sefzik, Senator; 

Dan Lewis, Anvil CFO;

Ben Taylor, Anvil Control Systems Department Manager;

Barbara Lewis, Executive Director Northwest Indian College Foundation;

Ann Larson, NW Regional Director, Senator Patty Murray’s Office and

Corrinne Sande, WCC Director NCyTE Center/CS/CIS;

WCC students Brittany Byrtus, Dan Lewis, and Alambey Byrd  gave live demonstrations in the new lab. 

WCC Foundation Scholarship students along Eva Schulte, WCC Foundation Executive Director; Dr. Barry Robinson, WCC's new VP instruction and Travis McEwan, WCC Faculty, among many others joined in the celebration.
