The Victim Impact Panel (VIP) is looking for volunteers

The Victim Impact Panel (VIP) is looking for volunteers to share personal stories about how driving under the influence (DUI) has personally impacted them or a loved one. VIP was created to reduce DUI injuries and fatalities in Whatcom County. These panels work to shift the perspective of those convicted of impaired driving.

By sharing their experiences, Victim Impact Panel Speakers play an important part in helping to reduce future victimizations. VIPs educate participants to the life-altering consequences of substance impaired driving, and motivate participants to make responsible decisions about drinking and driving in the future. Panels are held on weeknights, and the commitment is just a couple hours for each panel.

Victim Impact Panel speakers are:Victims who received life changing injuries A friend or family member of someone who received life changing injuries People who lost a loved one in a DUI collision Someone who was the cause of a DUI collision that forever changed their lives.

By sharing they are making an incredible difference in the lives of others.
