Winter break and the winter holidays are a time for fun and travel. Staying safe when traveling is important and taking safety steps before, during and after travel will help keep things fun. Here are a few travel tips:

-Know your health status before you travel and postpone travel if you are sick. If you get sick after traveling, visit your doctor.

-Wear high-quality masks (N95 or equivalent) in crowded or badly ventilated spaces to protect from COVID-19, flu, RSV,  and other airborne diseases. We are seeing a large increase in many different types of respiratory viruses right now, not just coronavirus.

-Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer when you do not have access to soap and water.

-Make sure you are up-to-date on your vaccines for COVID-19, flu, and any others your doctor recommends.

-Pack a travel health kit. Be sure to bring COVID-19 tests with you in case you or someone you are with has symptoms.
