Junior Deputy Elf is aware of the Whatcom County Jail’s Alternative Work Crew opportunity for low-risk offenders to volunteer to work off their jail time while performing a service for the community. Recently, Junior Deputy Elf came across one of these work crews picking up garbage along the side of a county road. He slowed down and moved his sleigh over as he passed and gave them plenty of room. If you happen to see the work crew working along the side of a road, please give them space.
