4.8% of citizens unemployed in Skagit County in 2021

Skagit County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,929 people out of the 128,228 living in Skagit County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Skagit County has decreased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Skagit County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 58,633 people who had a job during that time, 1,130 were employed in the Armed Forces and 57,503 belonged to the civilian labor force.
