Rick Larsen, a U.S. Congressman representing Washington's 2nd district since 2001, has been vocal on several issues through his recent tweets. His posts address legislative initiatives and concerns regarding federal agency actions.

On February 6, 2025, Larsen announced that "House Democrats are introducing the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to protect Americans’ sensitive information & essential benefits like Social Security & Medicare from unelected & unvetted billionaires." He emphasized the need for bipartisan support by stating, "If just three House Republicans side with the American people instead of..."

The following day, on February 7, 2025, Larsen shared a tweet without additional commentary or context: "https://t.co/3cMjTyee3M".

Later on February 7, Larsen expressed concern over the Environmental Protection Agency's actions. He tweeted about potential failures in honoring grant agreements that would allow Washington ports to invest in shore power infrastructure. He stated, "I am concerned that @EPA is failing to honor signed grant agreements allowing ports in WA, including the Port of #Anacortes & @PortBellingham, to make long-term investments in shore power while promoting good-paying jobs that are essential to the country’s maritime industry."
