A Mail-in voting message recently distributed by the USPS was delivered to Washington voters but doesn't apply to them.
The message reads" “If you plan to vote by mail, plan ahead.”
But ffficials said Washington residents can disregard the message, Lyndon Tribune reported.
The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office states that the postcard recommends that voters “request your mail-in ballot (often called ‘absentee’ ballot) at least 15 days before Election Day," Lyndon Tribune reported. This method isn't being used in the state's voting process.
“Voters in Whatcom County do not need to request a ballot, as ballots are automatically mailed to all registered voters 20 days prior to Election Day,” Whatcom County Auditor Diana Bradrick told Lyndon Tribune. “There is no need to sign up or request to receive a mail-in ballot to vote in the upcoming election.”
Voters are urged to log in at VoteWA.gov and confirm that they are registered and to confirm their information.
