One of our stormwater inspectors, Alyssa, recently visited a completed stormwater improvement project along Marigold Drive in Sudden Valley to ensure the system was functioning with the return of fall rain.

This project consisted of installing 750 feet of new pipe, 15 catch basins, and a stormwater treatment vault. The new treatment system is designed to reduce stormwater pollutants like heavy metals, suspended solids, and phosphorus that previously entered Lake Louise (and into Lake Whatcom) with little to no treatment.
