Rick Larsen, a U.S. Congressman representing Washington’s 2nd District since 2001, recently highlighted several projects benefiting from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) via his Twitter account.

On November 15, 2024, Rep. Rick Larsen announced that the Port of Bellingham received a $17.9 million grant through the BIL. He stated, "Thanks to a $17.9 million BIL grant, the Port of #Bellingham can modernize its shipping terminal, which will create more jobs, reduce carbon emissions, & keep supply chains & the maritime economy moving".

In another tweet on November 15, 2024, he noted improvements for road safety in Snohomish County due to funding from the BIL. He tweeted, "Thanks to the BIL, the @Tulalip_Tribes has the funding to make significant improvements at two road crossings to ensure all road users can safely travel to & from the Tulalip Reservation, Quil Ceda Village, & communities in Snohomish County & along the I-5 corridor."

Furthermore, on November 15th he remarked on broader impacts of this legislation in his district by stating: "These are only a handful of examples of the BIL at work in #WA02. Learn more about how the BIL is delivering for your community ⬇️"
