Bellingham ALL IN for Climate Action Week Sept. 19-25

Seeking to “Inspire Community Action through Climate Conversations,” the City of Bellingham organized the fourth ALL IN for Climate Action Week from Monday through Sunday, Sept. 19-25, 2022.  To initiate those conversations and to share community resources to address climate-related challenges, Climate Action Week 2022 includes a series of fun and informative events, activities and presentations hosted by the Bellingham community.

An event to kick-off Climate Action Week – hosted by the City of Bellingham, the Port of Bellingham and Kulshan Brewing Company – is 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at Kulshan Trackside.  A free bike valet will be provided by Let’s Bike Bellingham and Kulshan will give $1 the first pint of beer to anyone (age 21 or older) who bikes, walks or arrives by bus.

The all-ages event will include live music by The Walrus, a circus act and interactive kids zone, face-painting, educational booths, a variety of food vendors, a prize drawing, conversations with community members and a welcome by Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood.  The event will take place, rain or shine.

The 2022 ALL IN for Climate Action Week builds upon the success of three prior Climate Action Weeks, which each engaged more than 1000 attendees.  Once again, there are several local organizations, businesses and entities partnered to create virtual and safe in-person events for all ages and diverse interests. The week’s events include a variety of options:

  • Art contest for kids and youth art display
  • Volunteer work parties (Squalicum Creek Park and Whatcom Falls Park)
  • Recycled art supply sale
  • E-bike demos
  • Virtual webinars:
